1/2 cup butter, softened …………………………… 1/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar………………………………...…………… 2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla…………………………..……………….. 2-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder…………….………………….. 1 tsp. salt
Food coloring (neon or gel) ………………………. disco dust
* sparkle gel * star sprinkles * rainbow Dragees (I used sugar pearls)
In mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening & sugar; add eggs & vanilla. Slowly add flour, baking powder & salt. Divide into smaller bowls and add food coloring. Try neon colors in blue, green and purple and then red and yellow. Chill for 1 hr. Make snakes with each color. Not too thick b/c you have to use all 5 colors (or however many you chose) to make one large snake. Be careful! They break easily. Make one big snake out of each smaller snake. If you use too much flour, they won’t stick together. Bake at 400 for about 8 minutes.
When you take them out of the oven, immediately press in the sugar pearls. You want to break through the surface and push them in halfway (or else they will fall out.)

2 cups of marshmallows
2-1/2 cups of cereal marshmallows (can get in bulk on internet)
1/4 cup butter for the treats, plus extra for greasing everything
This recipe makes 15 small pieces of unicorn barf.
** Before you do anything else, butter everything you are going to use for this recipe (baking sheet and HANDS). ** Melt butter a saucepan over low heat; add regular marshmallows and stir constantly until marshmallows are completely melted. Keep stirring until marshmallows are completely dissolved ~ combined with butter and smooth
DO THIS QUICKLY: When plain marshmallows and butter are combined and smooth, remove from heat & add cereal marshmallows. Stir together quickly with sprayed spatula until cereal marshmallows are evenly coated, but not so much that the melted marshmallows start to dissolve your cereal marshmallows! When cereal marshmallows are thoroughly coated, spread mixture onto buttered pan in rough rectangular about 1” thick. It should stick together fairly well. Shape doesn't really matter, but have even thickness. CHILL for about 20 minutes. (Meanwhile, wash the pan before marshmallows starts to solidify in it. Very hot water is the best way to get the sticky marshmallow out) ** CUT into a rectangle, then into about 15 squares **
