Both boys were Varsity football starters (Wyatt was QB and Drew was Safety). Frisco High went to 3rd round of Texas state semi-finals. The 2nd round was a home game ~ and Jerry Jones generously let's Frisco High play their home games @ the Cowboys training facility (The Star ~ in Frisco). All 5 grandkids participated in that game! Nathan (normally on 10th {JV} football) played Varsity, b/c there were players out on Covid protocol. Taylor (JV cheer captain) and Campbell (Freshman cheer) were also on the field, since all the cheerleaders were participating too. The game highlight for our family was when the halftime buzzer rang, just as Wyatt was throwing a 30-yard touchdown pass to Drew in the end zone! (yes, that one made the TV highlights too!) Enough of "Nana proud boasting"... and on to the easy-peasy recipe....
VANILLA and CHOCOLATE Dipped PRETZELS
as many big pretzels as you want (I did 2 dozen ~ 1 dozen white & 1 dozen chocolate)
white & chocolate to melt...... wafers, bark, canned frosting, or chips
colored sugar and/or sprinkles
liquid, if needed (milk, liquid flavored coffee creamer, liqueur). For chocolate you could also use brewed coffee.

Set out racks on waxed paper on your counter. Melt whatever you're using as dipping coating in a shallow bowl. (per instructions on wafers ~ about 1 minute for bark ~ about 45 seconds for chips ~ about 25 minutes for canned frosting) If it's too thick, whisk in just a little liquid (quickly ~ if it seems to "seize," add a little more liquid and keep whisking!)
Dip pretzels into melted coating and put on rack. Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles. I recommend sprinkling after each pretzel has been coated b/c the coating dries very quickly! Let them set on the rack until entirely hardened.
