MAPLE BACON CHOCOLATE CHIP BLONDIES
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted (sweet) butter, melted
2 eggs...…………………………..........…….1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla...……………..........…………..1/2 tsp maple extract
1/2 cup dark brown sugar...........................1/2 cup white sugar
Pinch of salt (quick shake)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (I like mini-morsels best)
***
3 slices thick bacon (cooked and crumbled)
***
Mix all together in a big bowl, with wooden spoon, until blended well (I save about 1/2 slice of bacon to crumble on top of the glaze). Spread in a non-stick sprayed 8” pan.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 min (toothpick should come out clean). Cool & cut into bars. Can drizzle or spread with glaze (below), if desired.
GLAZE:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp maple syrup
Milk, as needed
In small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and powdered sugar. Add milk (1 tsp at a time) until smooth drizzle consistency. I sprinkle another strip of cooked bacon (crumbled) on top
