I also make my MAPLE APPLE Spiked BAKED BEANS at the same time. They bake at the same temperature as the turkey wings and are a wonderful side dish (in the 2nd photo). I use the same bourbon in the baked beans that I use in the turkey wings.
SLOW ROASTED pre-SMOKED TURKEY WINGS
1 pkg. pre-smoked turkey wings (I had 3 large flats + 2 tips in my package)
Your favorite seasoning rub (I like McCormick Maple Smokehouse or Kroger's Private Selection Espresso Spice)
1/4 cup bourbon or brandy....................................2 cups chicken stock or bouillon
1/2 tsp. dried oregano............................................1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. Kosher, sea or pink Himalayan salt..............2 tsp. Balsamic vinegar
2 tsp. liquid smoke
***
Preheat oven to 325.
Line a deep roasting pan with foil (with long ends ~ so you can fold it up and crimp tightly later) and put the turkey wings in a single layer. Sprinkle both sides of the turkey wings evenly with the seasoning rub, ending with the smooth skin-side up.
Mix together the rest of the other ingredients and pour around the wings in the pan. (It may or may not cover them.) Fold the ends of the foil up and crimp around the wings as tightly as possible all around them.
Roast at 325 for about 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Serves about 2-3 (depends how many wings are there)
