6 thick lamb chops *OR* about 2-3 lb. beef roast, cut into 2” slices (like chops) *OR* about 4 thick sirloin pork chops
1/2 tsp salt...........................................1/4 tsp pepper
flour......................................................oil
Sauce:
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup white wine
1/4 cup catsup
Flour chops; season with salt and pepper; brown quickly in large skillet in oil. Combine all sauce ingredients. Pour over the chops and simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Serves 3-4 (in theory, but my husband likes it so much that he'll eat enough for 2 people :)
Serving suggestion: The sauce is WONDERFUL over mashed potatoes ** a crisp green salad is a great addition too
