This little cake tastes just like big, soft cinnamon rolls from the store at the mall ** It even has a delicious glaze on top. It's really SO FAST and EASY to make too *
You can make this with sugar or sugar-free. It's one of the most popular sellers in my eBay store. |
1-1/2 cups flour …………………...……….......... dash of salt
1/2 cup sugar ……………………………..............2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup milk …………………………....…............1 egg
1tsp vanilla …………………………....……........ 2 TB butter, melted
***
1sticks (1/2 cup) butter, softened ………...........1/2 cup brown sugar
2 TB flour ……………………………......….......…2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cups nuts ~OR~ raisins (optional)
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar ………………...............… 2-1/2 TB milk or cream
1/2 tsp vanilla
***
With an electric mixer, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Once combined well, slowly stir in 2 TB melted butter. Spread batter into a greased (or sprayed) 9" or 10″ square baking pan.
In mixer bowl, mix 1 stick softened butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nuts until well combined. Drop evenly over cake batter by the TB; use a knife to marble/swirl through the cake. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes (or until toothpick comes out clean from center.)
Put powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl. Whisk until smooth. Drizzle over warm cake. Serve warm

SUGAR-FREE substitutions:
Use same amounts of regular white and brown sugar blend SPLENDA, instead of the sugar.
INCREASE baking powder to 3 tsp.
GLAZE: Use about 1/4 cup sugar-free vanilla frosting (from a can); whisk with 1/4 tsp. vanilla and about 1-2 tsp milk.
