3-4 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled (reserve some for topping)

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease donut pan (even if it’s non-stick).
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. *** In a small bowl, mix together milk, egg, extracts, maple syrup, and butter. *** Add wet ingredients to the dry and stir with a wooden spoon until fully incorporated. Fold in 2-3 strips of crumbled bacon.
Fill each donut opening (smooth batter with back of dampened spoon); then bake for 7-10 minutes or until just beginning to brown (a toothpick should come out clean). Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
