1 box POUND CAKE mix ........................................................... 2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla................................................................................. 1 stick butter, melted

8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature.................................. 2 eggs
1 box powdered sugar (reserve 1/2 cup) or about 2 cups
sprinkles (optional)
***
Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x13" pan with non-stick baking spray.
Beat together pound cake mix, 2 eggs, vanilla & butter for about 3 minutes. Spread evenly in the prepared pan. (You may want to use the back of a dampened spoon to spread)
Beat together cream cheese, 2 eggs and powdered sugar (less 1/2 cup) about 2-3 minutes, or until smooth. Spread over top of batter. If you want to use decorative sprinkles, sprinkle them on top of this layer so they'll bake in (otherwise, they won't stick to the cake if you put them on after it's baked).
Bake at 350 for 27-33 minutes, or until golden brown on top (if it rises, falls & cracks, don’t worry about that). When cool, sprinkle 1/2 cup powdered sugar on top. Cut into squares.
Wonderful as-is, but also good topped with fresh strawberries.
This will keep for about a week, covered but not in the refrigerator. (I just stick the pan into a couple of plastic grocery bags on the counter)
