One-Bite MINI CINNAMON ROLLS ~ glazed
1 tube refrigerated flaky crescent rolls
4 TB softened butter...........................................2 TB melted butter
2 TB brown sugar or brown Splenda..................3-4 tsp. cinnamon
FROSTING:
about 1/4 cup canned Cream Cheese Frosting ~ or sugar-free Vanilla frosting
***
Preheat oven to 375. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with the brown sugar/Splenda and cinnamon. Set aside.
I took 2 adjoining crescent roll triangles at a time to work with. Roll them out so that they're just a big, thinner rectangle (with no seam). Spread about 1/4 of the butter-brown sugar-cinnamon mixture over the rectangle. Then cut the rectangle (lengthwise) into 4 long, thin pieces. Roll up each of the long thin pieces and stand them up (touching, right next to each other) on the baking sheet (if there's a ragged end, put that on the bottom).
Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until nicely golden brown. Take them out of the oven and immediately spread the tops with the frosting. (Make sure it drips over the sides, or spread it on the sides too with a butter knife. You want to cover most of the crescent roll so that it doesn't taste like a dinner roll.)
Makes 16 1-bite rolls.
