1 package white cake mix
2 eggs
1 stick
1/2 cup flour
(8 TB) melted butter
about 1 TB cherry jello powder (or other red flavor, if desired)
About 36 Hershey's milk (or dark) chocolate drops
red food coloring (I like neon or gel best) ~ a few drops or about size of half a pea
red sparkling or decorating sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheets with parchment paper (or lightly spray). Put about 1/2 cup red sugar in small bowl and set aside.
Mix cake mix, eggs, melted butter, flour, food coloring and jello powder together in mixer until it is well blended, and will come together in somewhat of a ball. (You might need to add another TB or so of flour). Make 1" to 1-1/2" balls and roll them in the red sugar (to completely cover.
Put about 2" apart on cookie sheet and just barely flatten down a little bit.
Bake for 9-11 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately top with Hershey’s Drop (slightly twisting, so it very lightly melts on the bottom and sticks to cookie). **
Makes about 3 dozen cookies
