Traditional BRANDY ALEXANDER
2 oz. brandy
2 oz. dark or light Creme de Cacao
2 oz. half-and-half (can be low-fat) ~ You can even use flavored liquid coffee creamer (Italian Sweet Crème, Crème Brulee, French Vanilla)
1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg (personally, I prefer cinnamon instead)
Fill a shaker or glass jar with lid, halfway with ice cubes. Pour in the brandy, Creme de Cacao, and the half-and-half. Shake well and pour into a cocktail glass. Sprinkle the grated nutmeg over the top. Makes 1 large cocktail

Frozen BRANDY ALEXANDER
2 oz. brandy
2 oz. dark or light crème de cacao
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream (I like Breyer's lactose-free Vanilla Bean)
Pinch of grated nutmeg (I like cinnamon instead, although that isn't traditional)
Place the first three ingredients in a blender. Add a handful of ice cubes. Blend well until the ice has been completely crushed and the drink is nice and smooth. Pour into a large cocktail glass and sprinkle it with the nutmeg. (You'll probably want a straw with this)
MEASUREMENT TIPS:
1 oz. = 2 TB
4 TB = 1/4 cup
