My grandkids made this one night for dinner, when I was staying overnight with them. They made the whole thing ~ I just took it out of the oven.
They LOVED it and wondered why Mommy didn't have "my" recipe! I just gave them some celery and carrot sticks with it, to dip into Ranch dressing (they'll eat anything dipped into Ranch dressing) ** |
1 package fish sticks (I got the skinny ones * package of 48)
1 large jar spaghetti sauce (whatever your kids like)
1 8 oz. package shredded mozzarella, provolone or pizza cheese
1 package mozzarella or provolone cheese slices
Spray a jelly-roll pan with non-stick spray. Let your kids put the fish sticks close together to form a rectangle (about 4 down, and 12 across ~ or whatever fits best on your pan). I gave each of my 3 grandkids a bowl with sauce in it, and a bowl of shredded cheese. They spread the sauce over the fish sticks, then sprinkled cheese on top. Then they laid the slices of cheese on top.
We baked it at 375 for about 15-18 minutes (or whatever your box of fish sticks calls for) ~ with them watching through the window on the oven the whole time:) The 3 of them devoured it!
