We go to the same resort (El Dorado Casitas Royale) between Cancun and Tulum 3x a year. When we go in the summer, our youngest daughter, SIL and 2 grandsons stay @ the family resort right next door, so we see them every day. *
We also go over Halloween, when the weather is perfect (unless you're there during a hurricane!), and the pool water is still nice and warm. *
We also go the first week of February (we get a free night for our next stay then, since we're there within 30 days of our wedding anniversary). But, although the temperature is still in the 80s, the pool water can be pretty chilly! I'll bribe myself by saying there's a mudslide waiting for me at the swim-up bar (haha) ~ but that's also when I drag my husband out of his "comfort zone" and we do excursions. Sometimes, our best friends, Barbara & Guy (also our middle daughter's in-laws) go with us. So, this is what "old" people in their '70s (who should know better) do when their kids aren't there to roll their eyes at us (or tell us we shouldn't be doing that!)
I have a video of me "swimming with dolphins", but my husband decided to take a full-length video with my phone so now you can't see anything! (short bursts, Billy ~ and get your thumb out of the way!) ** And, the photos from PARASAILING never made it home. Barbara had paid for them but couldn't figure out how to get them to load.
