Turn the pan OVER (upside-down) and fit the foil over the sides and edges of the pan

Take the foil off the bottom of the pan ~ turn the pan back right-side-up and put the formed foil into the pan

Push the foil into the corners tightly (with your knuckles, so you don't poke a hole in it with your fingernail) and press close to the sides of the pan

Put it on the HOT bread, dripping into all cracks and down the sides ~ then brush it over the top. This will keep it moist and you won't have those crusty, thick sides.

GLAZE: Start with 3/4 cups powdered sugar in a small bowl ~ whisk in whatever liquid you want (1 tsp. at a time) until it's a smooth, spreading consistency. (juice, milk, coffee, flavored liquid coffee creamers, liquor)

It isn't always possible to salvage food that's burnt in a saucepan or Dutch oven on the stove, but if you catch it quickly enough you can save it!

When you notice that a soup, sauce or stew is burning, DON'T STIR THE POT!  Immediately pour (or gently scoop) the contents into another pot or pan.  Most of the burnt food will remain at the bottom of the original pan.
