I liberally douse the meat (all sides) with the marinade and then sprinkle with the seasoning. I'll usually let it sit at least 1/2 hour (or even hours) before grilling, baking or frying.
I always keep a bottle of Lawry's Baja Chipotle and Steak & Chop marinades in the pantry, plus jars of McCormick's Grill Mates Smokehouse Maple and Chipotle & Roasted Garlic. Together, they give the best flavor to just about any meat you have!
