It isn't always possible to salvage food that's burnt in a saucepan or Dutch oven on the stove, but if you catch it quickly enough you can save it!
When you notice that a soup, sauce or stew is burning, DON'T STIR THE POT! Immediately pour (or gently scoop) the contents into another pot or pan. Most of the burnt food will remain at the bottom of the original pan. |
