BUTTERSCOTCH Chocolate CHIP BARS ~ with sugar or sugar-free
1 cup all-purpose flour ……………………..3/4 cup brown Splenda blend or dark brown sugar
1 egg...........................................................1/4 cup regular white Splenda or granulated sugar
1 stick (8 oz) melted butter ………………...1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt................................................1/4 tsp baking soda (increase to 1/2 tsp. for sugar-free)
1/2 tsp butterscotch extract **....................1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar-free chocolate chips
8 sugar-free butterscotch ** hard candies, crushed ~OR~ 1/2 cup butterscotch morsel chips
** can substitute caramel for butterscotch

Mix all ingredients together in bowl with wooden spoon, until well blended. Spread in sprayed 8” square pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes until done (toothpick comes out clean). Cool and cut into squares.
