- 1/2 cup milk (you can use any % regular milk ~ or substitute vanilla soy, coconut or almond milk, for a lactose-free version)
- 1/3 cup Vanilla Ice Cream (or use vanilla lactose-free or sugar-free ice cream)
- 1 cup Ice
- 2-3 Strawberries
- 2 TB Strawberry Syrup (about 100 calories for a 2 TB serving) * (I've never seen sugar-free strawberry syrup, but you could try 2 TB. of sugar-free strawberry jam)
- Whipped Cream (optional)
Add Milk, Vanilla Ice Cream, Strawberries, Ice and Syrup into a blender. Blend well. Give it a good stir and pour into a large glass. If you want, you can top with whipped cream, and an extra drizzle of strawberry syrup or sliced fresh strawberry.
NOTE: You can freeze whole fresh strawberries (washed and hulled), and use about 5-6 of those instead of the ice ~ this is a more intense strawberry flavor.
