A warm drink for the Fall, with pumpkin and ice cream in it ** It can be made with peach nectar or Calvados or Brandy (spiked) ** PUMPKIN NOG 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree 1 quart pumpkin or vanilla ice cream 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp eachnutmeg & ginger) 1 (46 oz) bottle peach-mango smoothie drink OR 5-1/2 cups peach nectar (non-alcoholic version) 1-2 cups Calvados or Brandy (alcoholic version) In large saucepan, combine pumpkin, smoothie drink and spices ~ heat about 10 minutes until warm. Add about 3/4 of the ice cream, a little at a time. Heat & stir about 3-5 minutes until melted. Pour into punch bowl and put in scoops of remaining ice cream. Serve immediately. Punch will be slightly warm. Makes 16 servings |
