The steaks at Outback Steakhouse are wonderful! The addition of BEER or ALE to the simple marinade helps to tenderize the steak ** Only 4 common ingredients, and you can make even the most inexpensive cut of steak taste just as delicious as a filet mignon ** Outback Steakhouse stock photo * recipe courtesy of Outback Steakhouse |
Makes enough for 1-2 pounds of steak
1 cup beer or ale
2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Let the steak marinate in the beer for at least an hour in the refrigerator.
Mix the dry ingredients together well. After marinating, sprinkle the dry mix over the steak. Rub it all over the steak. Let the steak sit in the refrigerator another thirty minutes.
Put a pat of butter on the grill/griddle. When it's very hot, add the steak. Cook to desired doneness.
Grilling tip: When grilling steaks, they will be much better if you let them come to room temperature first before grilling
