This is the smoothest, creamiest LEMON MOUSSE that you'll ever eat! It's one of my very favorite warm weather desserts and SUPER EASY to make. I've made it for over 30 years, and always get compliments ** I like to serve it with homemade gingersnaps, but Bordeaux or Pirouette cookies are nice with it too. ** |
LEMON MELTING MOMENTS
1 pint (2 cups) heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup sugar .......................... juice of 4 lemons
grated zest of 2-4 lemons
2 TB sweetened, condensed milk (NOT evaporated)
8-10 fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
Combine all ingredients (except berries) in large, well-chilled mixing bowl and beat until very thick. Divide among 8-10 parfait glasses and chill until ready to serve. Top each with a strawberry before serving. Serves 8-10
Also nice with a gingersnap, Bordeaux or pirouette cookie
ORANGE VARIATION: Substitute 2 oranges or tangerines for the lemons
