Lazy Day TOMATO HERB MUSHROOM PASTA SAUCE
1 jar chunky pasta sauce (about 15 oz.) ~ I used mushroom and green pepper here
1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained..................................2 tsp. garlic powder
about 1 tsp. fresh rosemary, chopped....................................1-2 tsp. fresh oregano, chopped
3-4 fresh basil leaves, chopped.................................................2-4 tsp. balsamic vinegar (to taste)
If you have fresh tomatoes, you can chop one up too and add it to the sauce
Optional: 1/2 tsp. crushed or cracked red pepper

Put everything into a saucepan and simmer for about 20 minutes (or could be longer), until the flavors meld together nicely. Taste and see if you need to add some Kosher salt.
