1 thick ham steak (1 to 1-1/2 lbs)
2 TB. extra-virgin olive oil
1 TB. honey mustard
1 tsp honey
1 tsp orange marmalade (can be sugar-free)
1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp chopped fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)
Dash of Kosher salt
Mix all ingredients together (except ham) and slather on one side of the ham steak. Let marinate about 20 minutes.
Grill on the BBQ for about 5 minutes; then turn over and grill the other side 5-8 minutes or until grill marks appear and it’s done. Serves 2-3
IMPORTANT! Grill the side WITHOUT the marinade first, and then flip it over. The fat from the ham will somewhat coat the grill then, so that the marinated side won’t stick when you turn it over.
