2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder ………………………………..1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup milk…………………………………………......1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
***
When ready to bake pizza: Preheat oven to 375 or 450 (see NOTE below). Spray or grease a 12” pizza pan (or 9x13” rectangle pan) with olive oil.
***
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add olive oil to the flour mixture. With wooden spoon, mash in the oil until a crumbly mixture forms.
Pour in milk slowly, constantly stirring until a dough ball forms and no flour is left clinging to the bowl (I used a wooden spoon). Turn the ball out onto a floured board. Knead for about 30-40 times.
On same floured board, roll out dough with rolling pin. (TIP: roll
from the center outward and make sure to flip the dough to achieve a circle shape.) Roll out as close to size of the pan you plan to bake the dough on.
Transfer dough to prepared pan and gently pull to the edges of the pan. With a fork, poke all around dough. (This will eliminate any bubbles that may occur when baking.) If you want, you can also rub a little olive oil over the surface of the dough, to keep the fillings from seeping into it during baking.
Fill with your favorite pizza toppings. Bake for about 20-30 minutes (at 375) or 15-20 minutes (at 450), until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
*** NOTE: If you're going to bake your pizza at 450, I recommend not putting the cheese on until the last 5 minutes or so ~ otherwise it may burn and not be gooey. ***
