1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 TB baking powder
1 TB butter, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup flour
4-5 apples (peeled & sliced)

about 3 TB butter, cut into little pieces
about 1/8 – 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Beat first ingredients (except apples) well. Pour into greased/sprayed 8” or 9” square pan. Top with apples. Dot with butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 for about 30-35 minutes (until cake tester comes out clean)
You can substitute any fruit for the apples that you have around: peaches, pears, apricots, nectarines, berries, etc
