fresh tomatoes (can use cherry tomatoes for chopped version)
fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced for basic ~ cubed for chopped)
fresh basil leaves (can use dried leaves in a pinch, but not as good)
Balsamic vinegar
Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Nothing is easier than this "non-recipe" salad!
For the BASIC version, alternate slices of fresh tomato with slices of fresh mozzarella cheese, and a fresh basil leaf. Drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with a little Kosher salt and black pepper. You can sprinkle some chopped basil leaves on top too, if you want.
For the CHOPPED version, lightly toss the cubes of fresh tomato and fresh mozzarella cheese with a little balsamic vinegar and chopped fresh basil leaves (or some dried basil leaves) ~ season to taste with Kosher salt and pepper
