Louisiana CHERRY BOUNCE Liqueur
2 quarts wild cherries, stemmed and cleaned **
3 cups white sugar .........1 quart bourbon
Put all ingredients into a 1 gallon jar (or 4 quart jars). Tightly seal. Store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 months (turn the jar over every-other day or so). After 2 months, you can decant into bottles. If you want, you can strain the liqueur into the bottles, but the cherries are SO good and pretty in the jars.
