3 cups of fresh strawberries ......................... 1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla.................................................... 1 tsp. lemon juice
Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat stirring occasionally.
Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool slightly, then put into your food processor and give a couple of quick pulses (so that it’s still a little chunky). Cool to room temperature before using. (You can keep it in sealed jars in your refrigerator for 2-3 weeks)
NOTE: This is also good over pound cake, pancakes, cheesecakes ** Try adding a tsp or so to a glass of iced tea too!
